To Chapter Members and friends of the APICS DANBURY Chapter:

The Danbury Chapter of APICS, now part of the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM), serves the northern portion of Fairfield Country and parts of eastern New York. APICS is the premier educational source for operations management and supply chain professionals. The Danbury Chapter offers courses to support the CPIM, CSCP and CLTD certification programs offered by APICS.
We have now begun our new fiscal year, and have a new slate of Chapter officers, noted here on our site. Take a look around the site to learn more about us!

We regularly hold monthly Professional Development Meetings (PDM’s) for our members and colleagues to deliver the latest insights, ideas, and methods for our craft. Like everyone, we have had to revise our plans due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The good news is we are continuing to deliver these valuable sessions using Zoom Meetings, both as evening events and Lunch-and-Learn webinars. We have postponed a plant tour scheduled for November, out of an abundance of caution, which we’ll reschedule for a later date when it will be safer to do so. These are fun and informative, so check back for updates.

We are always looking for topics, speakers, and plant tours, that would be of interest to you, for our ongoing series of meetings. Please share your recommendations with us at [email protected]

We are currently offering online classes, in partnership with the New Haven Chapter. We recently sent out a newsletter item on this, and it will soon be posted here, so stay tuned. Remember, for Supply Chain professionals, an APICS Certification is a valuable asset for your skill set and resume. Many organizations posting job openings are including a “APICS certification a plus” statement in their postings that can give you a ‘leg up’ in your job search!

Please contact Stephen Davies, VP of Education, ([email protected])  if you are interested in any of our educational offerings. Also, we are always looking for more involvement on our Board of Directors. We do have some open positions, so if you’re interested in getting more involved, reach out to me ([email protected]) and let’s talk about it!

Be Safe and Stay Well,

Gary L Anderson, Chapter President
